Local Control

The pro-levy proponents clearly imply that having a levy gives us more local control.

How does getting a lein on your property give you any control whatsoever?

Our local control is our local school board members that are popularly elected.

Whether or not a levy is passed or fails does not change this simple fact.

Let’s hope the voters are able to see this obvious and simple truth before they vote.

    Well said, factual and to the point, “Local Control” ? really? Ask MVSD244 how well thats working for special education, when the feds mandate requirements they are unwilling to pay for… The “local part” are the funds the district has to come up with to pay for the shortfall in federal funds provided vs the mandated requirements. If only we could get rid of that burden of so called, “local control”!
