The following is a letter to the school board trustees concerning their legal requirements as Board Trustees.
I saw this interesting video of Jack McLamb back in the 90s giving a lecture on what changed his life as a police officer.
I would ask that you take some time to listen to this man.
Then I would like you to go to a few high school seniors in your district and simply ask them the same type of questions that the old man asked Jack that he talks about in this video.
- What is the 4th amendment to the bill of rights?
- What is the declaration of independence?
- What is the constitution for the united states?
- What does the 9th amendment to the bill of rights say?
- What is law?
Then ask yourself, is your school district meeting the purpose of public education?
(See this article for more on what a proper education is and why.)
Will your graduates know what is being talked about if they should take an oath of office as you have or for military service?
